Our Focus

The Sooch Foundation supports organizations that:

• Operate in Central Texas;

• Focus on young adults and adults (14 years and older);

• Have a proven track record for effectively engaging the individuals they serve; and

• Offer services that result in better jobs, wages and life skills for individuals.

While we value high organizational and programmatic performance, we maintain a portion of our funding for time-limited grants and early stage ideas that align with our mission and grantmaking focus.

We believe strategic collaboration is vital for effective philanthropy, and we support this with active engagement with Asset Funders Network, Central Texas Funders Network, and Philanthropy Advocates.

In 2026, Sooch Foundation will focus most giving on programs that result in successful transitions and persistence in post-secondary education and effective workforce engagement for individuals facing barriers to employment.
